The London shows were a great success and we are pleased to say we survived the cold weather and traffic jams! And thanks to our sat nav’s, we got to drive past every monument the capital had to offer, learnt that Popey HATES sat nav’s and tried to prove them wrong at every opportunity possible, and also realised that we have enough equipment to play the Royal Albert Hall (as we were told several times as we setup in each venue).
Camden was our first stop on Thursday, followed by Fulham on Friday. Then Saturday we travelled to London Bridge to complete our Belushi’s trio. Hicks maintained a steady intake of beer while we set up and sound checked. They were all busy venues with a variety of people from Americans to Australians. Naturally we were all in our element and made sure we pulled it out of the bag every night. Saturday night brought more good news as we were approached by another A&R person from an investment company looking for bands to tour in and outside the UK. We don’t want to say too much at this point but will update you all when there is more news relating to this. Our good friend Tim Atkinson from Twang guitars also joined us, but unfortunately got nominated as sound man which he thankfully agreed to (cheers mate).
We thoroughly enjoyed playing in London and will be back there very soon. A MASSIVE thank you goes out to Nikki and Sue for organising the gigs and to all the people involved at the venues. You guys were all great!!
And finally, the Radio Rock Café will be featuring an interview with us in the New Year now. The show will be hosted by Ben and will feature some of our album tracks and an interview with SUMMERS. Dates and times will be confirmed nearer the time.
That’s enough from us for now but have a good week everyone.
