Howdy,

Our 3 show in-a-row weekend went splendidly in the end, and we lucked in on Sunday as we decided to gate crash a BBQ to refuel after an unnaturally early start. Crash was not best pleased when his alarm went off in the morning and it took some of Popeys finest jokes to crack a smile on his face.

We ventured up North for Z Rock on the Sunday, and finally got to meet all you guys who have been supporting us up there for so long. We were on an hour earlier (as the first act had cancelled last minute) so apologies to everyone who missed the first part of our set, hopefully the second half made up for it though. Our Facebook page has been bombarded with some wicked photos taken from the day so a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed.

This week our friends ‘Right Said Fred’ were in the UK recording some new material and decided to use the SUMMERS studio with producer Clyde ‘Hound’ Ward (he loves it when we call him that). It was good to see the guys and hope their European dates went well over the weekend.

It’s back to the studio and rehearsal room for us now though. Have a great week everyone.

Hey Guys,

We’re in the middle of setting up a new Summers Youtube page, and we found some old videos which bring back some great memories. So today, we thought we would feature the video of us recording 364 in Cyprus. Also in this video, you will hear the demos of a couple of songs before we recorded them in the studio.

We are live at The Star in Guildford on Saturday so we hope to see a lot of you there.

Have a good week!!!

It’s been a pretty decent week for us so far. The time spent in the studio has been productive and we are featured in 2 magazines this month.

Fireworks magazine reviewed our recent show at The Brook in Southampton supporting Tyketto, and Classic Rock AOR kindly did a whole page feature on the band and hosted a Q and A with Crash. Our favourite quote from the article was: “Summers sugar-coated rock is more likely to have grown men crying while their wives writhe like rampant pole-dancers to the strains of Lets Go Round.

A HUGE thank you to both magazines and reviewers for their awesome words. We have all bought Classic Rock since a young age and to be featured in it is something else. Your support means a lot. If you get chance grab your copy now!!!

OK show dates – don’t forget we’re in Guildford at The Star Inn on Saturday 17th March, and Summers have a number of dates lined up in April and May so check the tour section on the website for more information. We always love seeing your beautiful faces so please put these dates in your diaries, tell all your friends to tell their friends, and Rock Out with us.

Till next time!!

This weekend, we were kindly invited to the opening of a new and exclusive club in London. It was a dress to impress occasion but strictly no ripped jeans (which automatically excluded half of our wardrobes). However as always, we made a conscious effort to look our best.

Ricky was nominated as designated driver and was happy to do so (while we remained sober). We started with a few pre-drinks before we hit the club and Crash was insistent on buying a round of jager-bombs & cocktails to get us in the spirit a little quicker. However we were tactful and thought it would be better if we actually got into the club before getting smashed.

To be fair when we arrived we got given complimentary drinks in the form of house gin and something… and as it was alcohol we quickly finished that and demanded some more. Now, here’s a fact for you.. Crash drinks whiskey 24/7 and he’s fine. Give him Gin and he quickly gets trashed and starts acting his usual self… a nightmare!! Jase isn’t the biggest fan of Gin so decided to sit at a table marked ‘Reserved’ and drank whatever was there. He was then asked to move… but stayed for one more drink and then left to find something non-gin related.

An hour or so passed and it became pretty apparent Summers didn’t quite fit in. In fact, we stood out like sore thumbs. And as our eyes became more glazed over, it meant Ricky was terrorised from every angle. But lucky for him we did make some cool friends and engaged in conversation which gave him a little break. A few more hours passed and Crash decided we should get back on the motorway and head to another part of London. Ricky was thrilled about driving us another 30 mins from home (but unfortunately had no choice).

The drinks flowed even more and we lasted until 5.30am Popey demanded food after we left the club but found most places were shut at that time of the morning. He insisted somewhere opened up for him but I don’t think anyone heard him. Luckily, he fell asleep as soon as he sat in the car so he forgot about his hunger.

It was a wicked night, and nice to get out and cause some trouble together (without lugging around loads of equipment). We managed to get a picture before we got too trashed. Enjoy

Summers ArtworkHi Everyone,

It’s been on the cards for ages but we’ve finally completed our first studio photo shoot in a very long time. However, we’re all currently trying our best to agree on the shots which will make it to the website, press kits and other forms of Summers media and it’s proving difficult.

Crash and Jase are losing sleep over the debates because they can’t decide which shots they look good in together. However Popey is happily making some prints to frame in his living room…of himself.

We’re planning a second shoot on location soon so who knows, we may be in your neck of the woods in the near future.

Have a good week beautiful people and watch this space.
