Hi Guys,

This week we are showing you some pictures from one of our rehearsals.

Also its about 3 months till ZRock 2012 and were looking forward to meeting more of you guys.

And remember, you could be the very first person to own a copy of 364 by making sure you enter the competition at K*Chele magazine.

Hi Everyone,

First of all, thanks to everyone who joined us at The Swan on Saturday night. We played to a home crowd and saw a lot of new faces which is always nice for us. The highlight of the night was when we threw in one of our favorite songs, Animal by Def Leppard. Popey decided to extended it (then extended again) and just when we thought he was going to stop, he gave us another chorus.

This week brings us the launch of the K*Chele competition to win a SUMMERS album. Now, a lot of you know our album is hard to come by due to not being released so make sure you check out this great opportunity.

Crash is back in the studio working on some new tracks with our producer Clyde Ward (which we’ll preview on the website once they are finished), while the rest of us hit the rehearsal room to work on some new arrangements.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to WJ and Mike Ward for manning the sound desk on Saturday night. A lot of people commented on our sound and it was mainly down to these guys. Ricky said he would personally like to pay for your beers next time we’re in town (he’s so generous).

Keep an eye on our tour page over the next week or so as we’ll be confirming some new dates.

Have a good week people!!

Crash SummersHi Everyone,
First of all, thank you to everyone who came down to support us at The Firehouse in Southampton on Saturday night. It was nice to see loads of familiar faces after the Christmas break, and also play a few new Live arrangements which we’ve been working on.

There has been a lot of work going on behind the scenes over the past few weeks. Also, we were recently approached about having our own brand of Real Ale which was an interesting thought… however Mr Pope is a big fan of the stuff and would never turn up to a show sober again. We have also been working on some new t-shirt designs which are looking really cool.

Speaking of Popey… If some of you don’t already know, our beloved drummer is a big fan of the Bee Gees. As there was a tribute act in town on Friday he decided to book some tickets (and dragged Ricky along). However when they arrived at the venue and mentioned how excited they were about seeing the act, they quickly found out that Popey hadn’t booked tickets to the Bee Gees at all, BUT, the Bob Marley tribute instead! Quite a contrast in genre isn’t it… However we’re pleased to report that Popey had a wicked night, and Ricky….. well, he won’t be asking Popey to book any future events.

We’re looking forward to playing The Swan in Woolston this Saturday night. It’s been a long time and a good crowd is anticipated which we always love. If you’re in the area, get yourselves involved.

Hi Guys,

We’ve been talking to lots of you, and you keep asking us what the highlights of 2011 were for us. We have so many good ones but here are a few that came to mind below:

All the press coverage, including these couple of quotes we really liked:

“The supremely catchy 364, is a perfect mix of Def Leppard harmonies and Bon Jovi arena-rock pretensions, making it a very tasty proposition indeed. With a cool image and all the right contacts, they are certainly one of the brightest Summers we`ve had in the UK for a long time” Classic Rock AOR magazine

“364 is certainly better than the last Def Leppard album and that`s no mean feat. This will prove a hit with almost anyone” Powerplay Magazine

All our new friends across the pond including the fabulous K*Chele Magazine

Playing two stages at Guilfest (especially The Big Cheese Tent) and Supporting Tyketto

The support received from radio stations around the world, and the fact we gained so many rotation slots on so many different shows. Told You So was the 3rd most requested song for indie bands last year, and we had more songs in the top 20 from Canadian radio station RadioRockcafe.com

Meeting, having a beer with, and thanking the guys at ARFM for all their support & help.

Our video Sometimes reaching number 42 in the most watched music videos of the week when uploaded to YouTube. It managed to beat the likes of Bon Jovi and Def Leppard (to name a few) and Too Late was on course to do better until our little problem with Youtube.

However, the best part of 2011 for all of us was seeing our Fanbase grow around the World. There are not many countries where we don’t have a fan and we’re very proud of it.

We’re on course for world domination!!!

Hi Guys,

Xmas RickyWe can’t believe another week has passed. As some of you know we trekked up to London town on Wednesday to watch 3 of our favourite bands. We were on a high for the entire show.  It is a rarity to see 3 rock giants in one show, and we’re pleased to say we were there and bought the t-shirt (then Ricky lost it).

Steel Panther opened the show and were a great support act as they really got the crowd going (and many people considered them the best band of the night). Motley Crüe had an awesome stage show, which included the drums on a roller coaster, and Def Leppard just churned out hit after hit and had everyone on there feet singing along.

The best thing about seeing great bands is that it inspires us to get in the studio and write. So we decided to spend Sunday doing just that. It was a very productive day (surprising we know) and we are racking up a nice little catalogue of songs for the second album.

Now, we have never done this before BUT, as you guys have been SO good to us throughout 2011 with all your continued support, we wanted to do something to say thank you. So we have decided to upload a pre-production version of a song called ‘Heaven’ which is available to all our registered members to download for FREE.

It was done and dusted within a few hours this weekend but as it’s a Live acoustic version with warts and all, it will only be featured until Monday 26th December (Boxing day). Then, as they say on those amazing adverts “we will destroy the plates, so you will own a limited edition coin” (or something like that). Well we won’t do any destroying, well not intentionally anyway… but we won’t upload the song again. In fact, we could have found a better statement to use but Popey really liked it and wouldn’t let us take it out. Drummers hey… J

Before we wrap up, as mentioned before, you can now check out our interview with La Estadea and see what Crash & Jase have to say.

And finally, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Try not to eat and drink too much…cough…yer right…who are we kiddin’… Popey’s got a bottle of Jack Daniels sauce to put on his turkey so he can combine drinking and eating at the same time. Game plan or what! Fingers crossed our next blog will tell you that Ricky got some Christmas presents too. However at the moment, rumours are floating around the North Pole that he has been a bad lad this year…tut tut. If only everyone could be as well behaved and angelic as Crash & Jase…Lol.

Have a good one dudes and dudets!

Summers with Tyketto at The Brook

Howdy Folks,

Here are some photos from the gig at The Brook with Tyketto We would also like to say a huge thank you to the sell out crowd at The Talking Heads on Friday. You made sooo much noise we could not actually hear Popey…Result!!! lol.

Jase from Summers giving it some at The BrookSummers drummer Andy Pope at The BrookThis week we are doing a Spanish interview with La Estadea (we can’t speak Spanish but I think Ricky can say “Get your coat love you pulled & my house is your house”)…Anyway We’ll post more information once we know when the interview is going to be published.

Now… from the title of the blog you’ll see we’re off to Wembley to watch 3 of our favourite bands on Wednesday night.

Ricky Summers on stage at The BrookSo basically, don’t expect any sense out of us for a few days after the show.

There will be some sore heads and heavy memory loss. Just how we like it and if we see you there.. mines a Jack and Coke as always… LOL …

Hello Boys & Girls,

Well here we are, working hard, all sat down at the pub with a few beers and a note pad (except hardcore Ricky who has a cup of tea…lol).

However I doubt we’ll do this again as Popey wanted to start the blog off with offering to make everyones hole weak… He didn’t specify male of female (or human) so may live to regret this statement! I think he is trying to pour beer in Ricky’s tea now. Hahaha. TIP: never leave drummers unsupervised.

Friday’s show with Tyketto at The Brook was a great success and they seriously are the nicest guys you will ever meet. We’re all very proud to be able to call them our mates. Also there maybe be more Summers/Tyketto shows in the pipeline so watch this space.

While on stage talking to the audience, Danny Vaughn could not have given us higher praise when he said “ Isn’t it great to hear a band that can actually SING! About F***ing TIME!!! And coming from a legend like him it means a lot to us.

Finally, we would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for your support on Friday. We were overwhelmed with the feedback we received and it was awesome to meet and chat to so many of you after the show.

This Friday, we’re at the Talking heads for The Dlugokecki Xmas shenanigans. One night, 5 Bands, and too many drinks to count.

Till next time!!
