It’s been a hectic but rewarding week for the band. The Bitterne Park School show was a success for the second year running with a bigger stage and louder crowd. Then Guilfest on Saturday couldn’t have gone any better with SUMMERS appearing on TWO stages with the first appearance  The Live Club stage, and then a full blown power set in The Big Cheese Cave (Sponsored by Big Cheese Magazine).

For the second set we played to a packed out crowd and had them singing along to all our songs by the end of the set. Thanks to the chicks in the front row who flashed so much even Motley Crue would be proud. You made our day and also made Ricky forget to play a verse in Girls… It seriously was an awesome atmosphere.

We managed to catch up with our Guilfest 2011 competition winner Alex who came along and  joined us on both sets.

From everyone in the band, thank you all for your support this weekend. You seriously made us play our hearts out and we KICKED ASS!!

Ps, All pics will be added this week!!!

It’s finally here… The weekend of The Big Picnic at Bitterne Park School and GUILFEST 2011.

We have been preparing for this weekend for a long time and are looking forward to showing the people of Guilfest who SUMMERS are!

Remember to tell everyone you know attending Guilfest that we’ll be on the Live Club stage at 2pm. Also make sure you look out for our SUMMERS girls who will be handing out new flyers with information about our new single ‘Too Late’ which is being released next month. You can’t miss them… They’ll be wearing our logo (and hot pants!) J

All we need now is some decent weather and LOADS of cold beers once we’ve finished our set.

As promised, here are some photos from last weekends video shoot!

This weekend we were up in Midhurst filming our new video. The location was absolutely amazing so we made the most of it, and brought along photographer Abigail Penney. We are hoping to post a few of the photos this week so you guys can check them out.

We would like to say a HUGE ‘Thank You’ to Vikki Meagher and Bob Gwilliam for their continued hard work, to the actors Elle and Tom, technical support provided by Jed, and to everyone who helped us at the venue. The day ran very smoothly and we’re looking forward to seeing the end result.

This week we’re back at Bitterne Park school for The Big Picnic and then Guilfest. Don’t forget we’re on at 2.00pm at The Liveclub Stage so please come along, show your support, and scream your lungs out for us!!

We would like to say we’re going to have a rest after these shows but we’re booked solid until September. However…we wouldn’t have it any other way!

For those who are attending Guilfest on Saturday we’ll see you there, and for the rest, have a good week!!

Today Crash and the boys, supported fellow local boys The Delays at Bitterne Park school. After fighting our way through the crowds we eventually caught up with the guys (Crash was still posing for photos).  The boys said “it was one of the best gigs we have done, the crowd were soooooo awesome that it made us pick our game up and feed off the enthusiasm infront of us.” Continue reading »
